Hunting Grounds

Where the Clan Warriors, Deputy's, Leaders and Apprentices come to hunt Fresh-Kill for the Clan.

What to Hunt:

Squirrel- Basic prey
Vole- Basuc Prey
Wood Mice- Basic Prey
Magpie- Rare prey, but extremely tasty
Thrush- Basic Prey
Chipmunk- Rare Prey, but rather small in porprotions
Rabbit- Basic Prey
Hare- Rare Prey, but extremely tasty and large in proportions

What to Scare away or Watch out for:

Deer- Scare away/Watch out for
Wolf- Watch out for
Fox/Watch out for/Scare away if possible
Buzzards- Scare Away/Watch out for
Bees- Watch out for
Bears- Watch out for

Ravenwhisker padded into the hunting area quietly, hoping Mintstar was close behind.

Miststar followed him. She sniffed the air. "The sweet smell of the forest." She said. "I think I already smell a squirrel!" She turned around and stalked the area.

Ravenwhisker sniffed the air and smiles. "Today seems like a nice day to hunt." He said quietly as he crept around the area.

IC: "I agree." Miststar spotted a thrush. "Not exactly what I had in mind," she said quietly. "But it'll do." She pounced the thrush and quickly snapped it's neck with her jaws before it could escape.

IC: Raven smiled a bit. "Nice catch." Ravenwhisker crept around a bit more until he spotted a rabbit just ahead. Carefully approaching the rabbit, he lunges towards the rabbit but missed by a whisker and his prey had escaped. "Darn it.." He said as he sat down. "I was so close.."

Miststar padded over to him and put down her thrush. "Don't worry about it! I'm sure you've caught lots of bigger prey then that! How about going for a squirrel? I hear you do some mean climbing!" She flashed him a grin.

Whitemoon padded into the clearing, her ears twitching at the many sounds. The grey and white she-cat scrunched her nose at the sharp sound of wild garlic as she approached the herb.

Ravenwhisker smiled "Alright" He stood up and approached the nearest tree and started climbing. Raven spotted a squirrel on the branch just above him gnawing on some nuts. Carefully climbing onto what seemed like a sturdy branch, he slowly crept towards the squirrel and leaping onto it and biting down onto the squirrels neck. Killing it instantly. "I caught it!" He shouted down to Miststar. Raven picks up the squirrel and begins to climb off the branch when he heard a cracking sound. He stopped moving and thought of what caused the sound but when he realized what it was the branch gave out underneath him and he fell. As Raven was falling though the tree he hit his head once or twice then finally attempted to cling onto a branch. He succeeded, but just barely. Dangling from his paw, at least ten feet or so from the ground, he quickly tries to climb onto the branch when his paw slipped and Raven fell the rest of the way down. When Ravenwhisker was turning to attempt to land on his feet, he landed on his side instead.

Miststar watched in shock and darted over to him. She sniffed him and pawed at his body. "Ravenwhisker? Ravenwhisker!" When she realized he had either been unconcious or possibly dead, she dragged him onto her back and began trotting at a speed not to fast or slow back to camp. She looke back at his body on her back as she walked. "Ravenwhisker? Are you awake?" She asked him in his ear with a worried tone.
